Suggestions for Pre-searing
After talking to a few other people about it i decied to post..Why not a small Arena area in pre-searing? I mean Anet added a title for getting level 20..why not add a areana as well? Letting new people experiance a little bit of pvp before they go to post. There would be no dicrimination on who could go there and who could fight. And it would be a nice place for high levels to test their strength against over high level people in pre.I dont really see a big deal with it..but its just a small suggestion..its probably a bad one..but its always worth a shot.
Even if we got faction or experiance with or without it, several people (most in my allaince and a few other friends in pre-searing) have been demanding a Arena in pre-seaing,so i thought i would finnaly say sumthing about it on the forums

I dunno...it seems like a good idea, if only to keep real newbies from PvPing against the level 10s with Drok's armor and all that crap in the Ascalon arena. However, if there's no level block, the level 15+ grinders can come in and just own everyone, thus likely ruining the experience for a true newbie. I'd vote against that, although it's a good idea in concept.

Well for situations like that, there could be differ branches depending on your level so that people above lvl 14+ couldnt just go in there and sluaghter low leved people...plus...it would be kinda funny to go in as a lvl 5,knowing there are high lvled people waiting to fight

A method to earn xp as a high level player in presearing without letting monsters kill you, sounds good to me.

Yup, the arena map exists already. But currently, the only way to get to that arena is to enter the 'Go to Post-SearingAscalon' quest and you'll have two options then:
- Log off to go back to PreAscalon.
- Continue to PostAscalon.
A way toenter that same arena befor doing that mission woul be fine.

Yea people should be able to want to 'pvp' more than once before they go into the Academy, and do that little 4v4.

This would just be a way to grind for defender of ascalon. Sorry but a pvp match with nothing but flares and reversal of fortunes sounds gay -.-

While I agree the arena should be reinstated for those who are interested in PvP, I dont think you should get xp for it, it doesnt feel "fair" to the loser. Faction also, it should be more of a practice arena, with no benefit other than becoming more skilled for when you get to post. As to the Academy missions 4v4 match, I HATE that 4v4, and always warn my team that I dont do PvP, and just sit and wait it out. For some reason, my ranger just went straight to the mission with Rurik, and I was deliriously happy, thinking that it had been removed. Sadly when taking my mule through to post, it was back. And, as I always do, warned team I wouldnt be fighting, then sat and waited. Id like the Academy PvP either to be made optional, oragainst mobs(captured Charr maybe?). I dont like "shorting" my party, but I have absolutely zero interest in PvP, and always feel bad for them.

That sounds fun. Maybe with minimal XP gain for the winning side.
edit: To be fair, anet would have to have some way to clear pre of all those runes and max items that made it due to that bug..

Nope, that arena is PreAscalon.
No XP or faction should be won there. Just there for fun and learning in a 'soft' scenery, like anything else in PreAscalon.

It could just be like a mini arena for newer players and let them have a little more experiance into pvp before accualy started to play the game

It sounds like a good idea, especially with the "no exp/faction gain".
I remember when I brought Guild Wars and played it for the first time.. I didn't understand most of the PvP terms and how builds worked. I was called a noob. Adding something like this would help newbies learn more about PvP if they were interested.

Istani and Shing Jea can enter 'under lvl 10 arenas' just after character creation.
But most of the players in PreAscalon will end up at level 12 after making many quets, so thei'll reach ascalon Arena over level 10.

I like it but i would have it be 1-10 only.that way it wouldnt be a way for a lvl 20 to dominate the arena.

thats where it come in to the differant branches come in...Like when you gvg kinda..I dont know if it picks your group depending on your rating, but you would be put into differeant sections depending on your level..
of thats to cpmplicated..(or it just wouldnt work)
Then i guess if you were a low level pray that you didnt go up again a lvl16+

Level limit would work. As much as those with high level pre-ascalon characters might enjoy being able to play PvP, it wouldn't make much sense, nor appeal to a very large group.
An arena for 1-10 sounds pretty good really.

I don't see any real benefit to updating pre-searing (they should focus on the newer games, makes more sense as a company, they make more money by bringing new people in), so I don't see them actually implementing it, but I agree it would be a lot of fun ^_^.
